A chieftain of the APC from Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State, Alhaji Naziru Alasan Abdullahi, has declared that the party is targeting between five and six million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in the 2027 general elections.
Naziru made the declaration during the distribution of empowerment materials to 1,000 women, an initiative organised by the National Women Leader of the City Boy Movement, Hajiya Ummulsalama Isyaku Rabiu, in Kano.
The APC stalwart, who is also a chieftain of Boko Fertilizer Company, said the votes Kano people would deliver for Tinubu and Governor Yusuf would reflect their satisfaction with the leadership at both the federal and state levels.
“The votes will also send a clear message to the opposition that the APC has won the confidence of the people,” he said.
Naziru stressed that the party was committed to hard work rather than political rhetoric.
“We are here to work tirelessly to ensure the APC’s victory at every level in Kano State and across Nigeria,” he added.
He urged eligible residents of Kano who have not yet obtained their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to register, describing the PVC as the key instrument for participating in the democratic process.
“Your PVC is the tool you will use to vote for our party, the APC,” he said.
Naziru also praised President Tinubu, describing him as a leader of integrity.
“It is a thing of pride that Bola Tinubu is the President of this country. He is a man of integrity, and wherever you go in the world, you will be respected because of him,” he stated.
He called on Nigerians, particularly the people of Kano State, to re-elect President Tinubu, Governor Yusuf and other APC candidates in the 2027 elections.
“If we want the ongoing development projects to continue, we must remain with the APC,” he said.
Naziru further noted that the empowerment programme for 1,000 women organised by Hajiya Ummulsalama Isyaku Rabiu was only the beginning, assuring that more initiatives aimed at supporting the people would be rolled out in the future.
