Benue State governor, Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Hyacinth Iormem Alia, has charged the newly seven confirmed commissioners to be ededicated and commitment towards living up to their responsibilities and service to the state and the populace in order to improve the well-being of the state and its people.
Governor Alia gave this charged recently during swearing-in ceremony of commissioners as well as chairman of Board of Benue Television, Dr. Patrick Alumunku and others at Banquet Hall of Benue Government House in Makurdi, Benue capital.
While addressing the newly appointees, Dr. Alia stated it was high time to ensure all hands were on deck to deliver to the people meaningful result in order to carry everybody along.
Dr. Alia told them to sheath from discriminately acts capable of dividing their people sued them to work assiduously towards enhancng renewed hope initiatives of the present administration.
He challenged them not to used their positions to segrate against others, enjoining the appointees for unity, oneness and sincerity of purpose towards enhancng conducive utmosphere and development across the state.
He urged them to remain firm on policies of his administration, reminding them that where problem erupted always come together and assist collectively with a view to tackling the impasse.
He urged the appointees to live up to expectations and show total commitment in carrying out their duties.
He pointed out that they should always make judicial use of what was allocated in the cause of running their works.
He stressed for the betterment of the state as well as its citizenries.
In his acceptance speech, Hon. Nick Eworo, saluted the state chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. (Engr.) Benjamin Omale; Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Selumun Aber and reiterated their commitment to serving the state better.
