A prominent political leader and stakeholder from Gwarzo and Kabo Local Government Areas of Kano North Senatorial District, Alhaji Muhammad Usman Barau Gwarzo, has praised the Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and his Deputy, Alhaji Murtala Sule Garo, for their unwavering commitment to education and human capital development.
Alhaji Muhammad Usman Barau Gwarzo made the commendation shortly after a courtesy visit to the Deputy Governor at the Kano State Government House.
Speaking after the meeting, he expressed satisfaction with the administration’s efforts to improve the welfare of citizens through strategic investments in education, youth empowerment, and social development programmes.
According to him, the government has demonstrated a strong commitment to ensuring that every child in Kano State has access to quality education regardless of social or economic background.
He noted that the administration continues to implement policies and initiatives aimed at strengthening the educational sector and creating opportunities for future generations.
Barau Gwarzo described education as one of the most powerful instruments for achieving sustainable development, economic growth, and social transformation.
He observed that the state government’s educational reforms have renewed hope among thousands of students and their families.
He particularly applauded the administration’s efforts to promote girl-child education and increase school enrollment across the state.
According to him, educating girls remains one of the most effective ways of empowering families, reducing poverty, and strengthening communities.
“A well-educated girl grows into a responsible and productive woman who can contribute meaningfully to the development of society,” he stated.
The APC chieftain also commended the government for supporting scholarship programmes that provide educational opportunities for deserving students.
He noted that such initiatives have enabled many young people to continue their studies despite financial constraints.
He further described scholarship schemes as strategic investments in the future of Kano State, emphasizing that supporting talented students today would produce skilled professionals, innovators, and leaders tomorrow.
Barau Gwarzo also acknowledged efforts aimed at expanding access to higher education and creating opportunities for students to pursue advanced studies both within and outside Nigeria.
According to him, exposure to quality education and international learning environments equips students with valuable knowledge and experience that can contribute significantly to the state’s development.
During his interaction with the Deputy Governor, discussions focused on issues relating to education, youth development, and community advancement.
He described the meeting as fruitful and productive, while commending Deputy Governor Murtala Sule Garo for his dedication to public service and commitment to programmes that improve the lives of citizens.
According to him, the Deputy Governor has continued to play a vital role in supporting Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s developmental vision and ensuring effective service delivery across the state.
Barau Gwarzo further noted that the cordial working relationship between the Governor and his Deputy has contributed immensely to good governance, peace, and sustainable development.
