The Kano State chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has held a meeting with political parties in the state to promote unity and cooperation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The meeting aimed to build consensus among political parties to ensure that the 2027 elections are credible, free, fair, acceptable, and violence-free.
The Chairman of IPAC in Kano State, Hon. Isah Nuhu Isa Danfulani, said the council convened the meeting to foster collaboration among political parties, adding that the participants agreed to work together towards achieving peaceful and credible elections.
According to him, the political parties reaffirmed their commitment to unity and to ensuring that all elections in the state are conducted peacefully.
Hon. Danfulani also urged eligible Nigerians, especially those who do not yet have Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), to register and obtain their cards.
“It is only with a Permanent Voter Card that citizens can exercise their right to vote,” he said.
The meeting was attended by representatives of more than 12 political parties, as well as other key stakeholders in the state.
