The President of El’s Group and Director-General of Tinubu, Abba, Remi, Adesuwa Renewed Hope Initiative (TARA), as well as Coordinator of the ‘AKY Go Again’ campaign in Sabon Gari, Fagge Local Government Area of Kano State, Amb. Adesuwa Udo, has commended the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) and the City Boy Movement for empowering 1,000 women across the state.
Speaking with The Newsprint after the empowerment programme, Amb. Udo described the initiative as a laudable effort aimed at improving the livelihoods of women and promoting economic independence.
She said the beneficiaries received items including grinding machines, hair dryers, pumping machines and other empowerment tools to enable them to become self-reliant.
“The importance of this 1,000 mega women empowerment programme by City Boy and the Renewed Hope Initiative cannot be overstated.
“By providing them with grinding machines, hair dryers, pumping machines and other items, we are enabling them to depend on themselves rather than moving from place to place or relying on relatives for survival.
“These items will help them and their families sustain themselves,” she said.
Amb. Udo also praised the National Women Leader of the City Boy Movement, Hajiya Ummussalama Isyaku Rabiu, for establishing a strong foundation for the initiative, noting that she had been supporting people even before joining the All Progressives Congress.
She said Rabiu’s credibility and commitment had earned her the trust and acceptance of the people.
“She is not a stranger to the people of Kano State and Nigeria at large,” Amb. Udo added.
The TARA coordinator further commended the Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, for his commitment to grassroots development, describing him as a leader focused on improving the lives of citizens.
She expressed confidence that Kano residents would support Governor Yusuf for a second term, saying his administration had made visible impacts in the state.
“Kano is no longer what it used to be. The government is making a real impact on the people of Kano,” she stated.
Amb. Udo also called on Nigerians to remain patient with the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, saying development requires time and collective understanding.
She said the removal of fuel subsidy had enabled governments to access more resources for development projects and payment of pension obligations.
“We are all Nigerians. With patience, by the grace of God, we will see good development under the administration of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” she added.
